From my experience and that of my students, the best thing to do is not playing any games or having a set rule for when to call her back. Pretending you are too busy, is really a type of game playing. Calling her after waiting one or two days has always been the best time to call. You don’t want to appear super eager and you don’t want to look like you have nothing going on in your life.

One or two days is long enough to not be desperate or needy. And also not so long of a time for her to forget about you. This seems like a normal period of time. You let her think about you for a bit and then give her a phone call.

Calling the same night you get her number is not good. Even calling first thing in the morning on the next day is really too soon. So give it a day or two. No woman is attracted to a guy who is needy and totally crazy about her immediately. Remember you just met her and don’t even know her yet. She is thinking if you want her that bad and think she is perfect before you even meet her, then you just like what you see. You don’t even care about who she is.

So don’t call too soon or seem like you can’t wait to go on a date. Play it slow and keep your feelings to yourself. Women date slow and want to get to know you first.

Waiting 4 or 5 days is really pushing it, she is probably getting hit on a lot and you don’t want her to forget you. And if you wait a week, you better have an excellent reason for it. Once they think you aren’t interested or are gaming her, she will get annoyed and move on. You really don’t want to leave her hanging for a week, wondering if you are ever going to call. She will start to get angry.

She will forget about you pretty fast in todays busy world. After 10 other guys approach her in the next few days, do you really think she is going to remember your 5 minute talk the other day? She is not going to be sitting around for 5 days thinking about you. Most likely she gets phone calls and texts every day from 5 other guys who want her.

Once you disappear from her thoughts, she is out looking for another guy. Attractive women have tons of choices so when you got her phone number you better do something about it within 2 or 3 days or she will move on. She gave you a chance and if you don’t call and set up a date, it is your loss. What if she meets a new guy this week? You can be toast if you don’t use this opportunity to call her back.

And the other side of the coin is you still have to find out if you even want to go on a date. You only had a few minutes with her, it is time to qualify her. You want to waste a whole week wondering. The sooner you call her back and have a conversation the sooner you will have your answer. You need to see if you like her and find out more about her.

Not every woman you meet and get a phone number from is going to be date material. She may have problems or issues you don’t even want to mess with.

So bottom line is call her in a day or two max. Get to know her and see if you like her, set up a date if she still sounds great. It doesn’t have to be a long conversation, just a little small talk and find out a few more things about her. Then suggest your date idea. Keep it fun and keep it simple.

You will rarely have problems if you forget playing games and just give her a call in a day or two. She gave you her number and wants you to call her.

Don’t wait a week. One more hint, have 2 potential date ideas ready ahead of time so you don’t stumble on the phone and try to make something up on the fly.
